I’m a 46-year-old finance professional, currently working independently in consulting.

I’m looking for a comfortable, clean and well-maintained home to share with another mature, financially independent male professional, ideally aged 35–45.

I value mutual respect, personal privacy, cleanliness, good communication and consideration for one another. I enjoy good company and conversation but equally appreciate my own space and independence.

I’m quite particular about keeping shared living areas clean and organised. I believe household responsibilities should be shared fairly, with clear expectations around cleaning, visitors, personal belongings and shared expenses.

I’m very open to exchanging ideas about house rules and agreeing on arrangements that work for both of us. My preference is for a relaxed, respectful household where expectations are clear from the beginning.

Accommodation preferences

I’m primarily interested in Sandton, Randburg and surrounding northern Johannesburg suburbs.

Ideally, I’m looking for:

• A private bedroom in an existing two-bedroom apartment or home.
• A male-only household, preferably sharing with just one other person.
• Monthly accommodation costs of approximately R4,000–R4,500.
• A clean, secure and well-maintained property.
• Access to shared kitchen facilities, ideally including a refrigerator and washing machine.
• A reasonably central location with convenient access to shops and amenities.

Furniture: I would bring my own bed and couch, subject to the available space and existing furniture arrangements. I don’t have any large household appliances to move in.

I’m primarily exploring a temporary arrangement over the coming months, potentially until February 2027, with the exact period to be mutually agreed.

Above all, I’m looking for a fair, considerate and mutually beneficial living arrangement between two independent adults.
