I am a self‑employed graphic designer with 20 years of experience working with large corporate and international clients. Recently, I’ve pivoted toward a slower, more intentional work life … taking on less so I have more time to play, learn more skills, and enjoy the balance between work and creativity. After leaving an emotionally abusive past, I’m focused on independence, safety, and building a home where respect and shared resources matter. I’m not interested in romantic relationships … my priority is a safe, supportive living space.

I thrive on simple joys and living intentionally. I’m often required to be hands‑on for various creative projects as part of my job, which can include screen printing, printmaking, photography, and many forms of surface design. I enjoy space for art but I don’t get messy or disrespect communal areas.

My rescued pet family are all seniors now … a Chihuahua, two Yorkies, and two indoor cats — all gentle and well‑trained. My last large breed dog sadly passed away on June 26. They’re my family, and I’m not looking to add more, but I will not rehome them, so home must be a safe place for them too.

I’ve lived and worked abroad before I settled in my hometown in KZN, but have been based in JBay for three years now and am looking for a more permanent home. I’m keen to find an ideal setup with like‑minded, empathetic people who care about the little things. I’m open to either having a secure long‑term roommate or a few, or perhaps something where we have returning expats/digital nomads who want to stay for a shorter period annually … making sure we have a place where you can return to while I hold up the fort ..that way we can secure future stay ahead of time. I’m always busy with something and rarely feel bored. I make friends easily but equally value my privacy. I’m not religious, though I don’t mind if you are. I’m keen to find a place as soon as I can be sure it’s the right fit. Internet (fibre, LTE, or 5G) is essential … I can provide my own if needed. The home must just not be so far outside of town that I’m unable to connect. I usually order food and meds for delivery, currently temporarily based in Wavecrest, but need to find my own place before the end of the year. I have my own transport and it would be ideal of I have access to a garage.
