About the room
The house is located in the Bokaap within walking distance to the city centre. The room is fully furnished and has its own bathroom. The area is one of the oldest residential areas of Cape Town with many families who have been living there for generations. The call to prayer can be heard 5 times a day which contributes to the authenticity of this historical neighbourhood. The house is a double story with an open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. The room being rented out has its own private bathroom. There is on street parking available which is where I park my car. The house is always kept tidy and included in the rental is a cleaner who comes 6 times a month (once a week or every second week twice a week) and who cleans and irons. Water, electricty and wifi are also included.
About the roomies
I am a gay man who works from home and loves this neighbourhood which has a true spirit of community. I have a Weimaraner dog on the property who is treated as a member of the family and who is friendly. I would prefer another gay male or someone who is gay friendly as a tenant. I love exploring the city. I am neat but not OCD. When at home I lead a quiet life either working, reading, listening to music. My days, when not working, are filled with dog walks, gym and socialising with friends.
