About the room

(Will upload daytime pics on Sunday, as the current one are too dark, the spare room will be cleared out for next week and I’ll replace that photo)

It’s on the first floor in very safe apartment building, it’s technically the 3rd floor up in terms of where the balcony is due to the basement area being partially open roof. 24/7 security and access controlled with a zero tolerance policy to rule breaking.

The flat is fully furnished except for the spare room, but still quite minimalist in terms of decorations and personality. Blank canvas if you want to give the place some flair. A Dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, air fryer, espresso machine, gas braai on the balcony, has heater, are just some of the appliances available. Also additional washing machine and tumble dryer in the building.

The main bedroom en-suite bathroom has a bath and the bathroom by the spare room has a shower so there will be some logistics to navigate from time to time.

About the roomies

I am a software manager and lead at a game development company, literally my dream job, that has recently found a new lease on life with the amazing friends I’ve made in CT.

I don’t spend much time at home, as I am either at work, out doing hobbies in the week or away for weekends at festivals/ hiking/ off roading. I do enjoy a peaceful and harmonious home though, mutual respect and a naturally formed routine are something that I greatly appreciate in a flatmate. I’m also happy to have people over and have fun but it needs to be a mature and wholesome vibe.

I am an ex British Paratrooper and Special Forces Support Group soldier, so I am well acquainted with having to share my space with others. That time is well behind me, and I have a much more gentle perspective on life, but I think I still retain a large degree of a good safety oriented mindset and a strong sense teamwork.

My last two flatmates have been female and were already good friends of mine before sharing an apartment, I find I can form a healthy dynamic with anyone as long as our vibe is similar, male, female or non-binary.

I’ve never done a description to share a flat before so apologies if that reads like a dating profile, I will probably need to update it soon using ChatGPT or something 🤣
