Tucked between mountain and ocean, sits a little character-full gem in the heart of Muizenberg village. Accomplished sculptor, Etienne De Kock has forged a creative space for traveling artists and troubadours to manifest their inspirations whilst immersing themselves in the Southern Peninsula’s diverse, rich and abundant natural and social stimuli. A no fuss, private and artsy environment, where writers may practice their prose and artists can flourish. Expect the sound of trains in the day.

The entrance welcomes you into a dedicated workspace, off which lies the double bedroom, high ceilinged open plan kitchen and living room. French doors lead onto a private covered patio for al fresco dining and small garden space. Back inside, a spiral staircase leads up to a mezzanine with a sleeper couch and an alternative lofty workspace Off street and dedicated parking an added bonus. ~~~ Access for Guests ~~~ The Artist's studio is yours to enjoy for the duration of your stay. The garden leads to a shared garden and, The Sculpture Studio and The Painter's Studio which is going to be another Airbnb listing soon. The Sculpture Studio is a working space so expect the sounds of a sculptor at work. ~~~ Please note ~~~ Your host lives in the garden flatlet on the property with his three dogs. The property borders the railway line and is close to the train station so trains and rather loud train horns can be heard intermittently, but the trains do not run at night between 9pm and 4:30am.

Hello to all the beautiful beings out there, I am Joe, a german music student and maybe your future roomie. I do my Master in Jazz Guitar and currently write my Thesis remotely. I’ve rented the studio in Muizenberg for the following time: 23th of February until 10th of March (47 days). There is one closed bedroom in the 1st floor for You, I’ll live in the open room on 2nd floor. Kitchen and Bath/toilets and garden shared.

Please only text me if all of the following points are fulfilled:

• You will be staying for at least 40 days.
• On your day of arrival, You pay the rent (for your entire stay!) in cash. That’s the landlord’s condition. It is because we won’t make a official AirBnB deal, but a private one instead, so we don’t have to pay AirBnB (with invoice of course). This means we have to pay before so that the Landlord will block the AirBnB-Calendar.
• since there was an administrative mistake, we will have to move to the studio beneath for one week (6th until 13th of February). It has a very similar room situation.
• I would be happy if you come to meet me in Hout Bay a.s.a.p. so that we can get to know each other before we live together
• I would prefer to live together with creative people (musicians, artists, photographers, …) in order to catch the host’s and my vibe :)

Pricings: For a single person → 850€ for 47 days (=18,09€ per day - that’s about 380 R per day) For a couple → 1100€ for 47 days (=23,40€ per day - that’s about 485 R per day)
