Hola amigos & amigas,

I am staying in the apartment listed, looking for a new roomie since my current flatmate is going back to Brazil💔

The apartment is right between Gardens (close to the Company Gardens) and City Centre (think: no loadshedding, ever). There’s a very nice rooftop - gym, pool, braai area, sick views. I recently installed blackout curtains, so it’s properly dark at night.

Short bio - I’m a machine learning engineer for a Dutch company, doing my PhD part-time. As such I’m at the office most days. I like doing stuff outdoors, but that just contributes even more to you having the place to yourself most of the time. Nice. Or join with doing stuff! Even better, but no pressure.

Foreigners who are here for an internship or whatever are also welcome. Not picky, I’ve lived with Guys, Girls, Babies, Elderly, Czechs, Turks, Germans, Indians, Hungarians, Arabs, Spaniards, and South Africans from all walks of life, to name just some - you won’t freak me out (I think…;) ) The only thing I am picky about is having a dishwasher, cause I can’t be bothered to do that myself, but am bothered by dirty dishes lying around ;)

Transport: Have a car if you need help moving

Stuff I like: Surfing, Snowboarding, Kitesurfing, Running, Hiking, Violin’ing, Piano’ing, Symphony Concerts, Music Festivals, Jazz Bars

Household: I can cook & like it, but do so like 1 or 2 times a week only, cause time. Don’t like grocery shopping but there’s Sixty60 for that. The cleaning lady comes biweekly and can cook very well also.

If you’re still here, that’s good I guess? I play piano but don’t own one so that won’t bother you. I play violin but not at home so that won’t bother you. I occasionally play a JBL speaker, mainly classical / jazz / electronic, but will refrain from doing so when you’re @ home, unless you like the tunes ofc ! Sometimes I have to work from Amsterdam, in which case the place is all yours.
