A witchy artist’s Victorian style open plan home with two fireplaces, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an artist studio, a central courtyard with covered braai, and verandah with lush front garden.

The room for rent is available from end of May as my current dear friend and housemate is leaving the country. The garden facing room has a double bed, built in cupboards, small work desk, a comfy corner chair, and is tastefully styled along with the antique feel of the rest of my home. Rent includes: •water •cleaner once a week •fast wifi •furnished room •own bathroom that sometimes guests would use (I have my own ensuite bathroom)

*Pay as you go electricity is split between the two of us.

The neighbourhood Observatory is a mixed bag of eccentricities but perfect for those who feel at home with thrift shops, old record stores, active nightlife, cute cafes, and a bohemian vibe.

I’m an illustrator and designer working for a children’s literacy NPO, who loves to adventure in the ocean and mountains. I spend most of my time outdoors but I work from home three days a week. I’m very friendly and live life with an open mind and open heart- yoga and hiking play a big part of my life and I love to ride horses. I own the house and I’m looking for someone who is not just a tenant, but potentially a likeminded human who likes a warm home, community and adventure when they feel like joining me on a hike or two. I’d prefer someone who doesn’t work from home EVERY day but I’m happy to share my artist studio as a community space to work. Please note: Non-smoking house and I own a little black cat called Kuro.
