About the room
I live in a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. My house is close to all amenities, centrally located near Cape Town, and a short 25-minute drive to CT International Airport. I am within walking distance of shops, a gym, public transport, further education institutions and only a few kilometres from the beach and the American embassy. Private entrance to the room via a sliding door leading into the garden and off-street is available. WiFi is stable and uninterrupted during load shedding. Guests will have access to the communal fully-equipped kitchen, lounge & garden which are shared. Guests also share the use of the main bathroom/shower/toilet. I am able to provide breakfast/meals at an additional cost. The house is a no-smoking zone, smoking is only permitted outside. Regret no parties, events, heavy drinking or disruptive conduct in consideration of our neighbours, other guests and environment.
About the roomies
I am a widow and retiree and would like to host travellers in my separate spare bedroom. I am a happy-go-lucky friendly easy-going host. I love to meet new people and understand and appreciate different cultures. I enjoy reading, knitting, and TV and travelling is a hobby of mine. My home is open to all like-minded guests. My daughter occasionally resides with me on a monthly basis as well as her dog, Chico who is always very welcoming. He is a housedog and usually mellow and very well-behaved. He gets briefly overexcited when the dog walker arrives but is otherwise quiet.
