Megan's room

We live in a house that is as interesting as Cape Town itself. With many levels, interesting nooks, beautiful green plants, amazing views, lots of culture and art, interesting homies that enjoy the mystical and magical side of life, always celebrating our home that is low-key vintage and modern at the same time. A modern day witch’s lair if I may.

The room is at the front if the house with large windows (with burglar proofing), high ceilings, wooden floors, a built in hidden desk that you can open and close as needed and a large vanity cabinet made of mirrors. It also has a very handy hanging rail and a dressing table with drawers for clothes. In winter there is a panel heater to get rid of the chill.

In the shared areas we have a little jam room that opens up to a miniature little courtyard in the middle of the house where we mostly play music or chill with friends if the other couches are occupied. Walking up from here you enter the stylish open-plan, fully equipped kitchen area with matt black finishes and a counter to sit at. Then going up a little more you can chill it out in what we call The Greenhouse. It is our (and the plants’) favourite spot in the house to chill it out on the leather couches in the sun coming through the sliding door. Downstairs is an extra basement chill room that is the perfect spot for a creative space, yoga and meditation, or just socialising.

There is one bathroom downstairs that is shared with one other homey that has a shower-bath. It also has a wash-and-dryer for your use. There are 3 small little courtyards around the house and a weber at the back for if you are truly South African.

It is a safe area with very respectable neighbours always on the lookout for each other.

I am Megan, nice to meet you ☺️I am a doctor in an emergency unit, mostly doing night shifts, and a creative nature lover and lover of life during the day. I have strong values of love and kindness and don’t have many hangups or like much drama. I love having friends over to jam or chill and have deep chats about life. I am easy going and neat but enjoy having a homey-home that is well lived in.

My girl Rhiannon (and the neighbor of the open room) is a young creative studying graphic design during the day and is always up for a chill, some music and fat chats on the couch when she is home and not out with friends. She is interesting, kind, very funny and a treat to be around.

Mila is another young girl that sometimes occupies the downstairs room who is also a creative, interesting old-soul and a home body.

We love to spend time together and really look out for each other emotionally and spiritually all the while allowing space for each other to be their own person.
