I’m a full-time working professional (economist) looking for a quiet, tidy flatmate to share my flat. It’s a spacious, calm flat with a large shared lounge and kitchen for a working professional or Master’s/PhD student. Sorry, no undergraduates.

LOCATION Koch Road, central Stellenbosch: less than 5 minutes’ walk from historic Dorp Street, with its restaurants, cafés and oak-lined streets. Conveniently close to Paul Roos Spar for quick grocery shopping. Close to the town centre and 10-15 minutes’ walk to campus.

THE HOUSEHOLD Quiet, clean and calm, especially on weeknights as I often work from home while studying part time in the evenings. Looking for someone who cleans up after themselves and respects shared spaces. No parties, but social gatherings on weekends are perfectly welcome. Regrettably, no smokers or pets. Occasional overnight guests are fine but only on weekends and as long you give me a heads up in advance.

TERMS Rent: R11,500/month, all-inclusive (R10,000 rent + approx. R1,500 for water, electricity and fibre) | Deposit: R23,000| Minimum stay: 12 months

Beyond work, I enjoy hiking, trail running, swimming, theatre, live music and reading. I am generally very social, but am also very career-driven and academically inclined which means I tend to prioritize my ambitions. So, we will be a good match if you also have a strong work ethic and are similarly academically inclined.
