Big, bright room in a three-storey house in Bo-Kaap, available from November.

The room has its own bathroom with a rain shower, aircon, a double bed, and windows on two sides with an incredible view over the city and the mountain. It’s fully furnished.

The house has a huge open-plan kitchen with a big island and gas hob, a living room with timber beams and a wood-burning fireplace, a courtyard downstairs, and views from most of it. There’s a washing machine, and a cleaner comes in every Thursday (cost shared).

It’s a quiet, safe street, within walking distance of Bree Street and the city centre, and a short drive to Sea Point. Signal Hill and Lion’s Head are close by for a hike.

Rent excludes electricity and internet.

I’m Driaan, a sculptor and designer in my mid-thirties. I have my own studio in Woodstock, but I work from home a lot too, so I’m around quite a bit.

Boba, my Boston terrier, lives here too, so you’d need to be happy with a dog. It’s always nice to have someone who’ll give Boba some love as well.

Outside of work I love a good hike, spearfishing and freediving, and I’m getting back into exercise. I’ll have a beer every now and then.

My housemate moves out at the end of October, so from November it’ll be me, Boba and you.

I’ve lived in shared houses before and really enjoyed it. It’s my home, so I’m looking for someone long-term (12 months or more) who I get along with and whose lifestyle fits with mine. Come and have a look and we can chat.
